The initiative was discussed during a stakeholder panel forum held in Taita Taveta County, where key representatives from various government institutions and agencies participated in shaping the collaborative framework. The county was represented by the Director of Roads and Transport alongside CECM Arch. Tairo.
Key road agencies, including Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA), Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA), and Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), actively contributed to the discussions, reinforcing the importance of coordinated efforts in infrastructure development and training.
The forum emphasized regional integration, knowledge sharing, and the creation of a sustainable training hub to support emerging professionals in the roads and transport sector. Stakeholders expressed strong appreciation for the partnership and encouraged continued collaboration toward implementation.
The next phase is expected to focus on trainee enrollment and program rollout, with stakeholders urging interested individuals to participate and share the opportunity within their professional and social networks.
“Tell a friend to tell a friend” remains a key call to action as the initiative moves toward implementation.
