The Informatics and Computing Department aims at producing top notch scholars and practitioners to offer competitive leadership in all aspects of Informatics and Communication Technology and Geo-informatics for the national and international marketplace. We cultivate positive attitude towards computing and its dynamics in a view to produce graduates capable of adapting to the dynamic trends of global markets while upholding the Taita Taveta University’s core values, embraced within our academic programs. Grace Mwaura’s has over 9 years of experience at a leading Kenyan university teaching students from various social and cultural backgrounds. She holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science degree In information Technology both from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Currently she is pursuing a PHD in Information Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Her research interests spans Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and Internet of things. As the Chairman of the Department of informatics & Computing, she is involved in training and supervision of Information Technology students.
