Overview of the Directorate of Administration Planning and Development

In order to address the challenges of administration, planning and development, Taita Taveta University established the Directorate of Administration Planning and Development (D, APD) in 2018.

The Directorate facilitates the optimal utilization of human and non-human resources in an effort to realize the objectives as envisaged in the University Master Plan, Strategic Plan (2023-2028) and Citizen Service Delivery Charter.

Specific Functions of the Directorate

The Directorate is charged with specific functions which include recruitment, placement, Induction and training of staff; promotions and discipline; management personnel registry; management and maintenance of the University facilities; overseeing the University Quality Management System; and provision of quality and affordable accommodation and catering services.

The Administration, Planning and Development Directorate is composed of the following Departments.

1. Department of Facilities
2. Department of Catering and Accommodation
3. Department of Planning Development and Central Services
4. Department of Human Resources

The Directorate is currently headed by CHRP Chrisantose Odhiambo Ogony
